Virginie Solans is a PhD student at Uppsala University. She is part of the EURAD WP8 on spent nuclear fuel characterisation. She is working on predicting safety parameters of spent nuclear fuels using different experimental measurements before encapsulation. In 2020, she obtained a joint master's degree in nuclear engineering from ETH-Zürich and EPFL in Switzerland.
