Bio
Daniel Mucida received his undergraduate degree in biology, with an emphasis on biochemistry and immunology, from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil in 2000. In 2005, He obtained a joint PhD from the University of São Paulo and New York University. Upon completing his postdoctoral studies at the La Jolla Institute, Mucida joined The Rockefeller University in New York as assistant professor where he was recently promoted to tenured professor and HHMI investigator.
