Bio
Iva Cheung is a Certified Professional Editor, plain language trainer, publishing consultant, and health communication researcher. She holds a Master of Publishing degree and a PhD in health sciences, and she has worked with historically silenced and underheard groups to co-create accessible health information. She teaches the Plain Language in Health Literacy course for SFU Continuing Studies’ Plain Language Certificate program and sits on the Plain Language Technical Committee for Accessibility Standards Canada.
