Lorenz Mootoosamy has accumulated over nine years of experience working on various energy efficiency and decarbonization projects across Canada. His extensive work portfolio encompasses a wide range of energy transition initiatives, including the development of strategic energy efficiency and decarbonization plans, quantification of energy-saving and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction potential, evaluation of demand-side management programs, and the design of training programs.
Currently, Lorenz serves as a Research Officer in the RETScreen Capacity Building team, where he focuses on enhancing the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of energy professionals who utilize RETScreen in their daily activities.
Lorenz holds a bachelor’s degree in physical sciences from McGill University and a master’s degree in Energy Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. He is also a certified measurement and verification professional (CMVP).
