Marie Diodati is the Materials Management grant coordinator at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, which gives her an opportunity to meet grantees from across the state from Klamath Falls to Cascade Locks. Efforts linked to diversifying grant criteria and developing outreach strategies have been her focus in the past two years. She’s also committed to increasing accessibility to the grant program and making the application process more transparent to the public, for the public from all regions in the state. Before joining DEQ, she worked with state and province officials in Chicago with The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Governors & Premiers organization to grow the region’s $6 trillion economy and protect the world’s largest system of surface fresh water. She also worked in Washington D.C. with the Canadian Embassy in the Energy and Environment Section. She studied in sustainability and business at HEC Montréal and University of Montréal in Canada.
