County-Wide Implementation of a Zero Waste Schools Program
The County of Marin has a population of approximately 261,000. We are made up of 11 cities and towns and unincorporated Marin. We have 5 resource haulers and 18 school districts. The Zero Waste Schools Program is designed to work with public schools first; from elementary to the high school level. For this session, we will focus on the 17 enrolled schools being serviced by Marin Sanitary Service. This presentation will outline the resources, education, and logistics it takes to run an effective program with individual schools.
