Santiago is a Mexican lawyer, with more than 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors, specializing in the last 10 years in the energy sector, first as Deputy General Director in the Mexican Ministry of Energy, where he participated in the federal government team for the design, drafting and discussion of energy reform, both constitutional and legal. Later he migrated to the private sector helping a French oil company to identify, analyze the different business opportunities that the reform itself granted to enter Mexico. Finally, today he is in charge of the regulatory affairs area for Shell Energy Mexico regarding its trading businesses (Nat Gas, LNG and Power).
