Pat Ward

Patrick Ward, P.Geo. has over 40 years of Oil and gas experience. He was Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Painted Pony Energy. A position he held from May 2007 until the Company was sold to CNRL in October 2020. Mr. Ward served as Director of Striker Exploration from 2014 to 2016, He was previously Vice President, Exploration of Innova Exploration Inc. from 2004 to 2006. Mr. Ward co-founded Chowade Energy Ltd. in 2003, which merged into Innova in 2004. Prior thereto, Mr. Ward served as Manager, Geoscience of NCE Resources Group and Petrofund Energy Trust from 1999 to 2003, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Rockport Energy Corp. from 1998 to 1999, and Exploration Manager of Total Petroleum Canada Ltd. (subsequently Rigel Oil & Gas Ltd.) from 1981 to 1997. Mr. Ward holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology (with honours) from the University of Calgary. He is registered as a Professional Geologist with APEGA.

Mr Ward was a Director of CAPP 2014 to 2019, Governor of EPAC, 2020.
Mr Ward is currently Director of CEEA EBF. He has been as Director or Governor of CEEA since 2010.
