Vice President | Program Manager – Lift Local Business at Huntington Bank

Samuel Wright, III joined Huntington Bank in 2009 from Chase Bank where he served as Vice President, Branch Manager. He currently serves as Vice President, Lift Local Business Program Manager in Business Banking at Huntington Bank. In this role, Samuel works with Huntington’s one thousand plus branch network across eleven states where he teams up with bankers and community organizations to connect under-resourced entrepreneurs with coaching, tools, and resources to start, grow and fund their small businesses. Samuel also serves as the Co-Lead for Huntington’s Enterprise 1100 plus member African American Business Resource Group. He has 20 years of financial services experience in several roles ranging from Branch Manager, Treasury Management Sale Advisory, and Program Manager.

Samuel is a financial professional with experience in navigating teams through organizational change. His strengths are small business cash flow management, leadership, data analytics, communication, collaboration, and small business lending. He has successfully led several integration initiatives through mergers with First Merit and TCF. Samuel received his Bachelor of Science and Executive MBA from Cleveland State University (Cleveland, OH). Due to his leadership engagement within Huntington, he has been selected to participate in a number of leader development programs including PwC Trust Leadership Institute (2022), Leadership Cleveland’s - Bridge Builders Program (2023), and Huntington Bank’s Community Regional Banking Leadership Program (2023-2024).
