“1st place recipient of the 2018 Lyceum Fellowship Design Competition: Form, Community, & Culture” and designer at Snohetta, Leslie Finnie is an ambitious, young architectural designer with the passion for creating inclusive-public spaces. Growing up in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC with its infinite variety of cultures and diverse viewpoints has enhanced her sensibility to people’s unique needs regarding their built environments. Leslie recently graduated with a Master of Architecture (M. Arch) and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design. During school, she developed an urban design project called OFF THE MAP - SAVANNAH (IG: @offthemap.savannah), a platform for B.I.P.O.C. / Disadvantaged Small Businesses in Savannah, Georgia. The Instagram platform became an incubator for young black creators and existing businesses to expand their virtual appearance to the greater community of Savannah. Leslie’s vision is to create opportunities for her community through various mediums of architecture and graphic design.
