Joseph (he/him) is a junior from Cumming, Georgia studying Medicine, Health & Society, Cognitive Studies, and Applied Mathematics. During coursework across his studies, he realized that despite evidence against certain standard practices, there wasn't a place for his professors - historians, anthropologists, psychologists, and neuroscientists - to come together for greater discussion. This is how the VCPC was born! At Vanderbilt, Joseph is also involved as a Resident Advisor (RA), Vanderbilt Effective Altruism, and works in the Clark Lab studying suicide in vulnerable populations. Joseph has been recognized by the Goldwater Scholarship for preeminent work towards improving science, and was also selected as one of ten 2021 Young Mental Health Leaders by Mental Health America.
