Having completed core surgical training, I applied and was successful in the Plastic Surgery training programme in 2017.
Since then I have had extensive experience in plastics surgery including hand, breast, head and neck, skin cancer and burn injuries.
I have presented at many international meetings run by the British Burn Association, British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and British Association of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery.
I have recently passed the FRCS (plast) exam run by the Royal College of Surgeons and I am due to finish my MD at the University of Bradford in July. My thesis focusses on improving burn care by improving how we assess burn injuries.
I am currently a Plastic surgery registrar at Pinderfields hospital which is the regional burns center serving the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber area.
Due to my interest in burn injuries I hope to undertake a fellowship in this area of plastic surgery following completion of training.
