Doris Youngblood is a retired Federal Project/Program Manager. Her last assignment was at the United States Pentagon overseeing new software development projects. Doris and her husband, Marq, purchased and began preserving Dr. W. H. Slaughert's home in 2013. After researching the Slaughter's family history, they worked to place the home on the National Register of Historic Places. Doris began hosting events at the Slaughter's home to enlighten the public sharing their family history through exhibits and storytelling.
