Yakup Sezer found Acikinovasyon, a technology and innovation startup which was the first open innovation platform and innovation agency in Turkey. He managed over 60 innovation projects for 57 local and global macroscale companies. With his devoted and ambitious team, he turned this innovation startup into an innovation agency which provided innovation management consultancy solutions, innovation training services and international innovation events in 4 years. They also developed Turkey’s first idea management software and implemented it in several companies.
Then, he left his startup and started as Strategy and Corporate Performance Management Vice Manager at Albaraka reporting directly to CEO and Head of Strategy and Corporate Performance Management. He took part in directing strategy projects in the transformation programme.
Yakup is currently the now Head of Business Excellence and Innovation, managing innovation, business excellence, organisational development, agile projects and open banking, Coordinator of Albaraka Garaj, World’s first islamic banking acceleration center and Managing Director of Insha, Europe’s first digital only islamic bank.
He has 11 global innovation awards during 1,5 years.
