Bio
Ms Rees has been head of policy and external affairs at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) since January 2014. She has worked in housing for more than 30 years with first-hand experience of delivering allocations and lettings, homelessness, housing advice, and housing management services. She set up CIH's Distance Learning Centre in 1997 and became CIH’s head of professional practice in 2000. Ms Rees moved to be an Audit Commission housing inspector in 2003 working with ALMOs, councils and housing associations across England. She returned to CIH in 2011 as a specialist advisor focusing on anti-social behaviour and then on welfare reform. Ms Rees is a chartered CIH member and Fellow.
