Jim Vaughn, CUSP began his utility career in the early seventies as a lineman for Florida Power and Light company. His utility credentials include journeyman lineman and foreman in transmission and distribution maintenance and construction, including hotstick, gloving and bare-hand qualification. Jim has worked in safety and training for the last 25 years with contractors and utilities across the south and western United States.
Jim is currently serving both as In-House SME for UBM, the parent company for Incident Prevention and as Senior Consultant for the Institute for Safety in Powerline Construction. Jim is the author of both Incident Prevention magazines regular features; 101 Train the Trainer series and the Q&A series.
