Christian D. Moore, CPRP, has served as Executive Director of DeMolay International since 2017. His previous career included tenures in the public, private, and non-profit recreation industries. Christian holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration from Texas State University, where he is a member of the division’s alumni advisory panel. He is a former board member of the Texas Recreation & Park Society and past chair of the National Recreation & Park Association’s Young Professional Network. He received the prestigious Certified Park & Recreation Professional designation in 2013.
A 4th generation Master Mason, Christian is a past presiding officer of two Masonic lodges, several York Rite bodies, and two Scottish Rite bodies. A former grand officer of the Grand Lodge, Grand Chapter, and Grand Council of Texas, Christian is also a member of several invitational and honorary Masonic organizations. He is a Full Member and Senior Warden of the Texas Lodge of Research, and received the James D. Carter Literary Excellence Award for his paper on the Actual Past Master’s Degree in 2016.
His DeMolay experience started as a founding advisor & charter chairman of Theodore Roosevelt Chapter in Texas. He later served as District Governor, Director of Ritual, Director of Logistics, and Director of Government Day for DeMolay in Texas. He has received the HLOH, COH, GLA, Advisor’s Honor Key, Z Key, Centennial Pro Servitio, and the DeMolay Grand Cross. The most meaningful recognitions that he has received for his work in DeMolay, however, are having been named an Honorary DeMolay in the jurisdictions of Iowa, Virginia, and Texas.
