Graduated from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, Darren initially joined Bureau Veritas UK as Marine Surveyor and Auditor in 2006 after a successful career in the British Merchant Navy with BP, P&O and as Chief Engineer and Technical Superintendent for J.H. Whitaker Tankers. In 2015, Darren join Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement as Loss Prevention, Safety and Quality Superintendent before returning to Bureau Veritas in 2017. On his return Darren held the position of CSQM and Certification and Training Manager for the UK. Darren joined the Fleet Management as Technical and Training Expert in 2023. Since the 1st of July, Darren has been Systems, Audit & Training (SAT) manager.
