Jonathan is the Chief Sustainability Policy Advisor for the City of Boulder, where he works to implement the city’s sustainability agenda, specifically in relation to energy and climate action, but more broadly across the complete spectrum of the city’s sustainability goals. He has worked on energy and environmental policy with states and local governments for over 15 years. In close consultation with regional and local governments and their constituencies, he has worked to develop strategic and tactical solutions to their energy planning, climate mitigation, and adaptation challenges. Since 2009, he has been focused on the various aspects of Boulders energy efforts, primarily, the city’s municipalization exploration project.
