Toby M. Hlavinka is currently the President and CEO for American Plant Food Corporation, the second largest distributor in the U.S. of ammonium sulfate and one of largest wholesale distributor of crop nutrients in the Southern agricultural markets. A 4th generation native of East Bernard, TX, Toby maintains his rural roots by serving on the board of his family’s farm equipment business and living in the rural community of East Bernard, TX. Previously, his career encompassed working in the farm equipment business, rice farming, waste processing, owning an independent retail and wholesale fertilizer and chemical business for 15 years, and serving as the National Director of Fertilizer for Helena Chemical Company – the 2nd largest crop input retailer in the U.S.
A second-generation graduate of Texas A&M, Toby earned his BS in Agriculture in 1983. He enjoys working in the agriculture industry and engaging in a common sense approach to fertilizer markets and the increased challenges we face on a daily basis.
