Katelyn is CFJ's Prevention Specialist and works in the Community Education and Prevention Department. Both her academic background and professional experience have been focused on the impact of violence on marginalized communities, especially the LGBTQ community, and she has experience in curriculum and policy development, training, and technical assistance as well as direct service.
Katelyn is passionate in her belief that we each hold important influence and roles within our communities, which can all contribute to eradicating violence or maintaining its presence in our lives. With intention, accountability, and compassion, we can repair and imagine and build joyful and safe communities.
She was born and raised in Texas, and currently lives with her partner and two cats in Bridgeport.
