Kevin worked for UK Border Force (UKBF) and its predecessors for 35 years, on the front line, in Immigration Enforcement and in Intelligence. He also worked as Visa Officer and Vice Consul in the British Embassy in Kuwait.
For the last 15 years Kevin has worked as a senior manager in UKBF leading and delivering projects to harvest and exploit API and other data from commercial shipping, including ferries and cruise ships. As well as this he led projects to obtain API from Eurostar and Eurotunnel, express coach operators and general aviation.
Kevin led projects to operationalise ship and aircraft positional data to enable compliance to be measured and delivered an automated geophysical risk assessment application for the UK coastline.
He is currently the Maritime Expert for the UN CT Travel Programme and leads the effort to deliver a comprehensive API solution for maritime traffic. Ends
