Gracie Holt is a learning disability liaison practitioner with an interest in health policy. She has worked with people who have a learning disability since childhood. Gracie’s passion for learning disabilities stems from having a sister with severe learning disabilities and Autism.
Gracie’s background is as a speech and language therapist, initially in acute settings and specialising in complex dysphagia management in adults with a learning disability in the community. Going on to complete an MSc in Health Policy at Imperial College London where she carried out a research project on annual health checks for people with learning disabilities, focusing on preventative health care in the context of behaviour change.
Gracie most recently joined Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to establish the learning disability liaison service within the hospital. She is currently leading on the national reasonable adjustments flag project for the South West London CCG and Kingston Hospital early adopter site, working on standardising the recording of reasonable adjustments across CCG.
