Bio
Maria-Cristina Galassi is a Scientific Project Officer of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC). She studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Pisa and received her PhD in Nuclear and Industrial Safety from the same University. At present she is leading JRC activities on Safety of Connected and Automated Vehicles, supporting the development of the new EU and global regulatory framework for automated driving systems. She is also responsible for the RICAM project, covering the broader scope of Requirements and Implications of Connected and Automated Mobility, and for the MITICA Project, exploring the possibility of monitoring road infrastructure through sensors on-board autonomous vehicles.
