Cindy Blake is a thought leader at Firefly, a start-up aimed to solve many of the challenges of managing complex cloud infrastructures in a way that enables DevOps success. Prior to Firefly, Cindy was a security pro at GitLab, a leader in the DevOps market where she was instrumental in leading GitLab's integrated DevSecOps, growing that business more than 10x over 4 years and through IPO. Her O'Reilly book, "The CISOs Guide to Securing Next-Gen Software" combines nearly a decade of cyber security experience with a background in lean and software development to simplify the complexities of application modernization into pragmatic advice for security programs. Prior to GitLab, Cindy gained app sec expertise at HPE's Fortify where she led early third party research on the intersection of development, application security, and operations. Blake started her career as a software developer, architect, and then IT leader.
