Hello! I’m Arina, a current student at MIT majoring in materials science and engineering and minoring in energy studies. On campus, I work in the Hatton Research Group conducting research on CO2 capture, row for the women’s varsity openweight team, and am part of the MIT Consulting Group. I am passionate about sustainability and creating a clean future: this summer I am interning with Metalmark Innovations, a company that is developing novel materials for air purification, and next year I am excited to join MIT’s New Engineering Education Transformation in the Renewable Energy Machines thread. After a year in college, I’ve felt first-hand how important it is to find a school that brings out the best in you, provides the right opportunities for your career goals, and has a community where you belong. Having recently gone through the application process myself, I would love to share my experience and help you with your college application process.
