Bio
Laurel Spring is a 16-year-old LGBTQ2S+ mental health advocate born and raised in Fort McMurray. An honour student, recipient of the 2020 Pride YMM community leadership award, and founding member of the youth network’s youth advisory council. She values personal advocacy and resilience amongst all else. As a student and community volunteer, Laurel has seen and experienced the first hand effects of mental illness and mental health in our region and strives to bring awareness and urge acceptance for everyone in Fort McMurray and the surrounding areas.
