Dr. Nick Powell is the Director of Strategic Planning & Analysis for the Georgia Department of Community Supervision. In this role, Dr. Powell manages the agency's strategic plan and performance measures. Additionally, he oversees data, grant, policy, and research-related projects for the Department. Prior to his current position, Dr. Powell served as the Director of Strategic Planning & Research, a Data Analyst, Media Relations Specialist, and as an Assistant Chief in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. Dr. Powell holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master’s degree in Public Administration, and a Doctorate in Sociology with a research focus on probation and parole.
