For over 30 years Harry has been working with parents of children who have a disability; helping them arrange their estate to provide for the children’s financial security and assure the quality of their child’s life. He has also lobbied at both the state and federal level on behalf of these families. For example, he participated in meetings with the staff of the United States Senate Finance Committee about legislation that clarified the use of special needs trusts to maintain Medicaid eligibility. The position he advocated became part of the tax act of 1993 (OBRA 93). His expertise in this area has been recognized by the Arkansas Bar Association. He has taught Medicaid eligibility planning at continuing legal education seminars.
Harry has been an external faculty member of the American College and has served as an advisor to the Uniform Law Commission’s Periodic Payment of Judgments Committee. He has had financial articles published in legal and medical publications; was featured in the book about Little Rock, “One from the Heart”.
Harry is the owner of Ehrenberg Financial, Inc., in Little Rock, Arkansas, a life insurance agency
dating back to the 1898. He has the professional designation, Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).
