Bio
Lanre Mohammed graduated from Bowen University Osun State, with a BSC in Economics. He also has an MSc (Distinction) in Business and Management from the University of Essex (UK).
He has over 12-years post NYSC experience in Fund Management (Pension and Non-pension Fund Management). He started his career with Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers (SIPML) as an intern in 2006 and rose to become a Senior Fund Manager. As a Senior Fund Manager in SIPML, he led the team of Fund Managers responsible for the management of SIBTC RSA Fund, the largest Pool of Funds in Nigeria with assets in excess of N1.5 trillion (circa $4 billion) as at 2017.
In 2017, he joined Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited (SIAML) as the Head, Equities Unit, with oversight over all the Equities Biased Mutual Funds and Portfolios. He was subsequently appointed to the role of Head, Alternative Investments Unit where he was responsible for setting up the Unit and introducing new products such as Stanbic IBTC Shariah Fixed Income Fund. In 2019, he was appointed as Head, Investment Management with oversight over 3-Sub Units (Equities, Fixed Income and Alternative Investments), 14 Collective Investment Schemes and 100+ Standalone Portfolios with assets in excess of N700 billion (c.$2billion).
