Samir assumes a full leadership responsibility for the development and performance of Fortune Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ITC Ltd. and India's leading chain of first class, full service business and leisure hotels with 50+ signed alliances across 45 cities of India . He also oversees the functioning of the WelcomHeritage brand, a joint venture between ITC Ltd and Jodhana Heritage, with around 40 hotels and resorts across 16 states of India that represents some of the finest traditions of heritage hospitality and tourism in India. Samir plays a key role in meeting the company’s aggressive growth goals and building synergies for the two brands thereby enhancing their outstanding reputation for providing efficient service to the customers as well as to the promoters. He brings with him incredibly strong knowledge and experience, as both Fortune Hotels and WelcomHeritage brands continue to increase their formidable presence in India. A Masters of Business Administration degree from University of Southern Queensland, Australia and Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM, Ahmedabad, he has rich and valuable operational & regional portfolio leadership experience of over 24 years across multiple geographies in Asia. Prior to joining Fortune Hotels, he worked with InterContinental Hotels Group for over two decades in operational and leadership roles across various locations in India, Southeast Asia and Korea.
