Years before hand sanitizer became a daily essential in all of our lives, millennial entrepreneur Andrea Lisbona set out to disrupt the stale industry, which had not innovated in nearly three decades. Inspired by innovators such as Steve Jobs & Emily Weiss, Andrea developed Touchland, a revolutionary brand of hand sanitizers that combine sleek, functional packaging with non-sticky, luxurious-feeling formulas that come in eight scents.
After beginning her career in hand sanitizer distribution in order to learn the ins and outs of the business, Lisbona ran a Kickstarter campaign in July 2018, which resulted in the brand reaching 450% of its initial fundraising goal and more than 1,300 pre-orders for the product in just one month. By the time the brand officially launched in November 2018, that number had increased to more than 1,500 people on the waiting list.
Fueled in part by its thriving social media presence, Touchland exceeded more than $2M in sales in their first year and is now available at ULTA, Urban Outfitters, REVOLVE, Amazon, Aerie, and many more. Touchland’s commercial unit, the KUB Hand Sanitizer Dispenser, can be found in Equinox, TheRealReal, sweetgreen, and many other locations nationwide.
Andrea is from Barcelona and relocated to Miami in 2018 in order to manage the growth of Touchland from the US. She holds an MBA from ESADE and was a featured expert speaker at the European Commission. She has been featured as a business expert in Forbes, Cheddar, Women’s Wear Daily, Glossy, Modern Retail, and many more.
