Karl Trepanier is the Vice president of Operations at ILIA Beauty, with responsibility for Planning, Sourcing, Supply, Fulfilment, and Sustainability. His days are spent putting in place the key foundational pieces to allow the brand to scale and deliver on its promise of clean beauty. All the while, keeping up with the spectacular success of cult-favorite products and delivering blockbuster launches.

Before joining ILIA Beauty, Karl dived into the world of indie cosmetics when he was tasked with the integration of Urban Decay Operations into L’Oréal’s systems and processes, striving to find the best of both worlds between indie brand agility and global scale efficiency. Prior to UD, Karl had a rich and varied career in the L’Oréal Group, rising through the ranks of the sourcing organization, spanning 3 continents and 4 business divisions. From Director of Worldwide projects in Paris to Director of Sourcing for the Latin America Zone in Sao Paulo Brazil and ultimately Vice president of Packaging Sourcing for the Americas in New York, at every step, success has always been measured by the quality partnerships developed with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
