Wilfredo "Choco" de Jesus served as lead pastor of New Life Covenant Church in Chicago from 2000–2019, founding effective urban outreach and international missions efforts. In 2013, he was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people for his leadership within the evangelical Latino community. Choco has authored four books and is currently general treasurer for the Assemblies of God denomination.
