Founder, Teens for Vaccines, 9th Grade High School Student
Bio
Arin Parsa is a high school freshman and the founder of Teens for Vaccines, a youth organization with ambassadors across many states in the US, promoting life-saving vaccines and empowering teens to get vaccinated since the 2019 measles outbreaks. In partnership with GENup, a 4000 student-member organization, Teens for Vaccines is raising awareness in schools and with legislators to involve teens in decisions that affect them. Arin is also a member of Vaccines Working Group on Ethics & Policy, UNITY Consortium’s Teen Advisory Council, the California School-Based Health Alliance, and a student researcher, currently analyzing longitudinal data from the CDC on factors affecting adolescent vaccine rates and decision-making. With deep interests in computational social science, law, and public policy, Arin hopes to one day work in health policy so all teens have access to vaccines and can consent to them.
