My main research focus during my university years concerned the corrosion of austenitic steel under simulated molten salt reactor conditions. Moreover, my studies also focused on analytical chemistry and chemical technologies in the field of energetics.
For the past (almost) two years, I have been employed by SURAO (Radioactive Waste Repository Authority, Czech Republic), which scouted me through the annual SURAO Summer School. My roles in the organisation are to ensure the smooth progress of the experiments underway at SURAO’s Bukov underground research facility and to lead projects related to the development of the engineered barrier systems intended for the Czech deep geological repository.
