Charlie Lord is the Managing Principal of Renew Energy Partners, where he leads financing and development of clean energy and efficiency projects that help building owners reduce emissions without upfront capital costs. A graduate of Yale and the University of Virginia School of Law, he previously clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Law Review. Before RENEW, he co-founded Alternatives for Community & Environment, both focused on environmental justice. He also worked in global carbon finance at C-Quest Capital and managed sustainable infrastructure investments at SCRC. Throughout his career, Lord has combined environmental, social, and financial innovation to make decarbonization both equitable and economically viable.
