Bio
Sandhya's inspiration is her mother, a veteran teacher. She has an engineering degree in computer science from India and a Master's in teaching from USC. Sandhya self-identifies as a “carb-ivore” and strongly believes that travel is the best teacher. Her favorite pastime is sleep, though she also enjoys hand embroidery, reading, hiking, and traveling.
Sandhya is a lifelong learner, is presently pursuing National Board Certification for Teachers, and has actively been presenting at conferences across the country around mathematical practices, social justice and universal access for learning in mathematics, and pedagogical best practices. She believes that everyone can learn, albeit at their own pace, and learning is best when individualized and reflective.
