Sureka Rajendran

Sureka Rajendran is a seasoned molecular diagnostics professional with 14 years of expertise in DNA sequencing, gene analysis, and molecular lab setup. She currently works as the DGM-Molecular Genetics at Lifecell International Pvt Ltd, Chennai. During her 2-year tenure at a New York laboratory, she honed her skills in various molecular biology & gene analysis techniques. She has a Master’s degree in Science with Biotechnology specialisation, from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. Her expertise extends to clinical applications of histocompatibility & immunogenetics in transplantation and autoimmune diseases. Her notable achievements include NGS-based lab setup, clinical exome data analysis, and novel allele submissions to Genbank and IPD/IMGT database. Sureka also excels in analysing genes related to single gene disorders and estimating haplotype diversity for HLA genes using specialised software.
