Melissa Blue has a B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) Degree from GIA. After receiving her G.G. degree, Melissa owned and operated Blue Diamonds, a fine jewelry boutique in Waco, Texas. She then took time off from her career, raising three boys in Austin, Texas. When her youngest child turned two, the idea for Meli’s Monster Cookies was born and she and her best friend, Melissa Mehall, founded Meli’s Monster Cookies. The Meli’s recipe came from a family recipe that happened to be naturally gluten-free and been loved and eaten for years. Since 2013, the Melissas’ have grown Meli’s into a nationwide brand and sell their 5 cookie products in the nation’s top retailers, among them being Target, Kroger and Walmart. The Melissas’ always enjoy helping other entrepreneurs through advice and mentorship as many mentors have helped them along their CPG path in the past.
