Bio
A native of Shreveport, Christian was born and raised just blocks from the world’s first Shriners Hospital. He earned his bachelor’s degree in radio, television, and film production from Northeast Louisiana University, and went on to complete a master’s program in communications at the University of Louisiana – Monroe.
In 2001, he joined the department of neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he served as coordinator of public relations. In 2005, he was named the first director of public relations for Shriners Children’s Shreveport. Now the hospital’s director of marketing and communications, Christian works to relate key system messaging and initiatives throughout the facility’s six-state catchment area and beyond to help generate awareness and referrals for both the Shreveport facility and the system as a whole.
Christian’s work has been featured in national healthcare publications and Children’s Hospital Association photo exhibits. He is a member of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana Northwest and is a graduate of the Shreveport Chamber Leadership Program. Christian is also a Master Mason and member of the El Karubah Shriners. He lives in Shreveport with his wife Mollie and daughter Isla.
