Andrew L. Goldstein is a partner in the law firm of Freeborn & Peters in Chicago. He advises clients in virtually all aspects of intellectual property and information technology law, including trademark and copyright law and computer, Internet, cloud and multimedia law. Andy also practices in the areas of entertainment, advertising and promotion law. Andy is on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Technology Association and the Illinois Technology Foundation and is on the Internet of Things (IoT) Council. Andy has also served on the Board of Directors of the International Trademark Association and was Chair of the Chicago Bar Association's Patent, Trademark & Copyright Committee. Andy is on the Board of Directors for Lawyers for the Creative Arts, an organization providing legal services to needy artists, and is general counsel for The Publicity Club of Chicago, a trade association of public relations professionals.
Rita W. Garry is a Senior Counsel with the law firm Freeborn & Peters in Chicago. Rita’s practice focuses on business law, including entity formation, corporate governance, business transitions, commercial contracting, privacy and data security compliance and securities laws related to private placements and crowd funding. Rita serves as outside general counsel to an array of small and mid-sized privately owned companies and an international software development association.
Rita received her law degree from Boston University and is a member of the Women’s Board of ACG Chicago, a former officer to the Chicago Chapter of the Family Firm Institute, and frequent speaker and presenter for the National Business Institute and The Knowledge Group on securities and business law topics.
