Bio
Margherita Natali is an Associate Programme Officer with the Border Security and Management Unit of UN Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) within the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT). Prior to joining UNOCT, Margherita worked in the fields of countering terrorism and cybercrime at UNODC, at the IAEA in Vienna, and at the Italian national Police (Arma dei Carabinieri). Within UNCCT, she is currently working on a joint project that aims to enhance awareness and build capacities relating to the responsible use and sharing of biometrics in counter terrorism.
She holds an LLM in International Criminal Law and has two years of experience as Associate Professor in Data Protection Law.
