Jessica O’Brien has been in the hair industry since 1998 when she graduated beauty school.
She started her career as an assistant at E-Clips hair studio in Seattle Washington. In July 2000, she decided she wanted to work for a company that focused on continuous education and decided to go the Gene Juárez Advanced Training salon, and after six months of training she became a stylist at Gene Juárez salons and spas.
In 2010 she became a member of the artistic team at Gene Juárez doing hair styling for photo shoots and fashion shows. During her time at Gene Juárez she became passionate about natural hair and curly hairstyles and helping her clients transition into wearing their hair naturally curly. Because of that passion she became the head educator for ethnic hair and natural hair for her company.
In September 2015 she was sent to the Ouidad flagship to become a Ouidad certified stylist. After bringing the Ouidad brand to Gene Juárez she was offered an opportunity to work full time with Ouidad.
Her love of the Ouidad brand and with the connections she made she was being given the opportunity to become a Ouidad educator and move from Seattle Washington to New York City to work in the Ouidad FlagShip salon in November 2016. To this day she continues to grow with the brand by educating others and assisting with product development and online content.
