Will Holmgren is the Special Projects Team Lead within the DNV North America Solar Energy Assessment section. He leads DNV efforts to improve its solar energy assessment practice and performs reviews of unique projects and technologies. He is a maintainer of pvlib python, a popular open source software library for modeling solar energy systems. Before joining DNV in 2022, he was research faculty at the University of Arizona, where he led a team to develop solar and wind power forecasts and assessment tools.
