Kim Pierce is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with over a decade of experience. She currently works at the Lennon Diabetes Center at Stephanie Tubbs Jones Family Health Center in East Cleveland. Kim received her Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Kent State University where she also completed her Dietetic Internship (over 1550 clinical hours). Kim has worked in a variety of settings including clinical inpatient, outpatient, and community nutrition. She is a frequent nutrition and diabetes speaker and media consulting expert, and has previously implemented nutrition and diabetes courses and classes at different facilities. She also serves as the “Meet Your Members” column writer for the Vegetarian Nutrition DPG for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In her spare time she enjoys assisting athletes in improving their nutrition and performance. She enjoys being active playing ice hockey, hiking, climbing, and cycling. Kim has 3 dogs, 3 cats, an African Grey Parrot, 2 bearded dragons, and turtles.
