Dr. Suman Rana is the Founder and Chief Toxicologist of THINKTOX, providing consulting and advisory services to industry, government, and legal sectors. With more than 25 years of experience in toxicology, she is a recognized leader in research, scientific operations, innovation, and evidence-based approaches to drug policy and workplace safety.
Dr. Rana’s career includes leadership roles at Fortune 100 companies, including Abbott, as well as extensive work advancing standards and best practices in toxicology. She is a past president of the Society of Forensic Toxicologists (SOFT) and serves on the Consensus Body of the Academy Standards Board (ASB), contributing to the development and revision of toxicology consensus standards.
She is actively involved with several scientific organizations, including the National Safety Council’s Alcohol, Drugs, and Impairment Division (ADID) and the joint Oral Fluid Committee of SOFT and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). She also serves on the Advisory Boards of Impairment Science Inc. and Lynk Diagnostics.
Dr. Rana has contributed to more than 100 scientific abstracts, papers, and workshop lectures and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Analytical Toxicology. An internationally recognized thought leader and invited speaker, she regularly facilitates technical workshops and training sessions.
A Fellow of AAFS, Dr. Rana is also a member of the International Association of Chemical Testing (IACT) and the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT), where she serves as the U.S. Regional Representative.
