John Thomson is the founder and chief executive officer of PayIt. John’s nearly three decades of experience spanning technology, leadership, and entrepreneurship has helped PayIt revolutionize the digital government space and receive numerous accolades, including awards from Fast Company, Government Technology, and StateScoop.
Before co-founding PayIt, John spent six years as the President & CEO of Saepio, and previously held positions at EMC Corporation and Cerner Corporation.
John graduated from Baker University and is currently a member of their Board of Trustees. A lifelong Kansas Citian passionate about supporting his community, John currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The National World War I Museum and Memorial and is a National Eagle Scout of the Year recipient. Additionally, John is an Operating Partner with Nexa Equity and serves on the board of Autura. He was also recognized in 2020 with E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner, Heartland.
