Bio
Nicky trained in infectious diseases and medical microbiology in London. She has extensive clinical and academic experiences in infectious diseases and HIV medicine from her work in Uganda and South Africa. She was awarded Wellcome Trust Clinical Training Fellowship in epidemiology and Tropical Medicine and lived and worked in Cape Town between 2010 and 2015, working on HIV associated Cryptococcal disease which formed the bases of her MD(Res) thesis. In 2018 she took up the post as infectious diseases consultant and the clinical lead for Travel Medicine at the Hospital of Tropical Diseases alongside her role as associate professor at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
