Mr. Parent has realized well over five hundred energy audits in the commercial, institutional and industrial sector across North America, with 70% of those in the C&I sector in Ontario. These audits covered Offices, Retails, Health Care, Schools, Municipal facilities, multi-residential buildings as well as industrial facilities. Mr. Parent is an Existing Building Recommissioning Agent and is involved in recommissioning work for over 10 M ft2 of commercial and institutional buildings. Mr. Parent is a lead trainer for the Advanced Recommissioning Course developed for NRCan. Mr. Parent is also recognized as an expert energy simulator by LEED and has performed many LEED simulations as well as third party reviews of energy simulations. Mr. Parent has performed over 100 reviews of detailed hourly simulations, including many required for LEED submissions. Mr. Parent is a recognized LEED technical reviewer and was listed on CaGBC Experienced Modeler list. He was one of the three trainers, recognized by the Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE), in the use of the simulation tool EE4 used for LEED applications. Mr. Parent acted as the lead energy modeler for Deep Retrofit studies for Federal buildings and building complexes, which aimed at reducing GHG emissions in priority.
